Thus it is to no surprise that the cost of getting car insurance in New York City is among the highest in any city or state.

With residents of New York City close to 8.4 million it is a car insurance nightmare or heaven, anywhere it is viewed. Being a congested area, accidents are most likely to happen as compared to driving through a long stretch of country road. This rate does not include the other factors such as the age where anyone under 25 will be paying higher rates as compared to someone over 25 years old. Another factor is the driving history of the individual since any traffic violation would mean a higher insurance rate.

New York is a no fault state which means in an event of a traffic accident those involve will be able to claim insurance no matter who is at fault.
